Behind the Scenes

Hi, I'm Irina (Ira) Burya, an emerging film producer from Russia, currently based in the UK.

My interest in filmmaking began with homemade stop-motion films and has since grown into a passion for producing. Over the years I've worked across directing, camera, lighting, production design and editing, experiences that have shaped the way I approach every production I am a part of. Understanding how each department works has taught me how to communicate effectively, anticipate challenges and support creative teams throughout production.

What I love most about producing is seeing a project evolve from an idea into something real and tangible. Whether it's coordinating a crew, solving unexpected problems or helping bring together the right people, I enjoy creating the structure that allows creativity to thrive.

I'm currently studying Film Production at UCA Farnham while continuing to build my portfolio through professional and independent productions. My hope is to produce thoughtful, ambitious films that connect with audiences and to contribute to projects where collaboration is at the heart of the process.
